From support worker in a residential home for people with learning disabilities to business owner of a domiciliary care company spanning over 25 years, I have a wealth of experience in the health and care sector.
I have worked with people with varying conditions, notably ASD, Dementia, mental health and the elderly and line managed staff to support them according to individual needs, wishes and preferences.
I have been assessing staff on and off for over 10 years and internally quality assuring assessors for nearly 3 years. I am currently overseeing assessors with supporting their learners through EPA and find this area an exciting new opportunity to develop both myself and the value of health and social care qualification.
I am an ambitious and motivated individual who is passionate about helping others achieve their full potential whether in employment, in education or in life in general. I enjoy the combination of working off my own initiative and in being part of a team and can adapt to situations to gain the best possible outcome. I am hard working, reliable and commit 100% to any project I have a hand in or lead. My experience through the years in my paid work and my charity projects has brought me in touch with many people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, abilities and I pride myself on being able to work and interact with others on all levels. I love learning and use this to continuously update my knowledge and impart this to others. I enjoy being challenged which means I am happy to work outside my comfort zone and tackle new projects.
