I set up and ran my own business in 2008 for just under 10 years. Our turnover at peak was £300,000 - a small domiciliary care company that won a national award in 2014 for Care Provider of the Year and several other awards throughout its journey. It introduced me to the world of business management and an area I now have a keen interest in while supporting other managers to achieve excellence.
I have been assessing staff on and off for over 10 years in health and social care and internally quality assuring assessors for nearly 3 years. I successfully supported a group of nursery managers to achieve their Level 3 and 4 ILM diplomas. I am currently overseeing assessors with supporting their learners through EPA and find this area an exciting new opportunity to develop both myself and the leadership and management qualifications.
I am an ambitious and motivated individual who is passionate about helping others achieve their full potential whether in employment, in education or in life in general. I enjoy the combination of working off my own initiative and in being part of a team and can adapt to situations to gain the best possible outcome. I am hard working, reliable and commit 100% to any project I have a hand in or lead. My experience through the years in my paid work and my charity projects has brought me in touch with many people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, abilities and I pride myself on being able to work and interact with others on all levels. I love learning and use this to continuously update my knowledge and impart this to others. I enjoy being challenged which means I am happy to work outside my comfort zone and tackle new projects.
